Good news for Moto G 2014 smartphone owners. The wait is almost over, Motorola has posted the Android 6.0 Marshmallow release notes on their website saying,
“We are excited to announce a new software update for Moto G (2nd Gen.) by Motorola. This update brings Android™ 6.0 Marshmallow to your phone along with other improvements.
NOTE: You cannot downgrade to a previous software version after installing this update.”
Moto G 2nd gen. was launched in September 2014 Running with Android Kitkat out of the box. And it started to receive Android 5.0 updates from January 2015. Considering that the Motorola will probably start Soak testing Android 6.0 by end of this month.
The device hasn’t received the 5.1 update yet jumping directly to Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
