Internet has been saved: TRAI Banned Restricted Internet Programs

The Internet has been saved!
Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has  ruled the decision in favor of net neutrality. TRAI banned all the programs related to zero-rated internet services saying it violates the principle of net neutrality.
The principle that Internet service providers should enable access to all content and applications regardless of the source, and without favouring or blocking particular products or websites.
The zero-rated Internet services includes the programs like Facebook’s free basic which gives the access to restricted internet, using which user can only browse Facebook without draining out any mobile data.
TRAI said services like free basic will lead to the restricted internet plans. That means you only pay for the websites and apps you use restricting you from using other content on the internet. The services were temporarily  banned last December. Which started the battle between telecom service providers and net neutrality advocates.
The battle has finally came to an end and the net neutrality Won.
