Cyanogen services are shutting down- R.I.P CyanogenMod

*Update:  CyanogenMod community launches Lineage OS: A new open source program

It is official Cyanogen Inc. is shutting down all the Cyanogen services. However, the source code will remain available for anyone who is willing to build the Mod personally. Cyanogen announced this new on their official blog saying, “ As part of the ongoing consolidation of Cyanogen, all services, and Cyanogen-supported nightly builds will be discontinued no later than 12/31/16. The open source project and source code will remain available for anyone who wants to build CyanogenMod personally.

CyanogenMod is an open-source operating system based on Android, developed 7 years ago by CyanogenMod open-source community. In the course of 7 years, the developers have released nine different versions of CyanogenMods, latest being CyanogenMod 14.1 based on Android 7.0. Following is the list of all CyanogenMods available,

  • CyanogenMod 7
  • CyanogenMod 8
  • CyanogenMod 9
  • CyanogenMod 10
  • CyanogenMod 11
  • CyanogenMod 12
  • CyanogenMod 13
  • CyanogenMod 14.0
  • CyanogenMod 14.1
