Back in June 2016, Microsoft announced that they are planning to acquire one of the biggest professional-networking site LinkedIn. The $26B acquisition deal is Microsoft’s biggest ever acquisition. Microsoft submitted the acquisition deal for EU approval in October and from past moths, the deal was pending the European Union approval. Today Microsoft announced the EU has approved the acquisition deal as long as the company will allow its rival sites to integrate their Microsoft Office applications and cloud computing services for next five years.
In coming days Microsoft is expected to close the acquisition deal once for all. Microsoft will soon own the world’s biggest online business and employment-oriented social networking service. Microsoft’s chief legal officer, Brad Smith, announced the news on their official blog, you can read the full details here.
Stay tuned for the updates.
