Apple MacBook Pro Expected To Get Kaby Lake Processors in 2017

According to some reports, Apple is planning to upgrade the MacBook Pro lineup for this year. Apple MacBook Pros are expected to get the latest generation Intel Kaby Lake Processors in 2017. The current generation of MacBook Pro is using the dated seventh-generation Core processors. But according to the recent report posted by  KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple will introduce Intel’s latest processors in MacBook 2017 models. The MacBook Pro’s 15-inch variant is also expected to come with an additional 32GB RAM option.

Back in October, Apple announced the new MacBook Pro lineup for 2016. The new MacBook Pro is thinner and lighter than the previous generation and it comes in 13-inch and 15-inch variants. It features a touch-sensitive strip named TouchBar, A little utility control panel that will give you access to screen brightness, media controls, and some native app controls. The TouchBar is configurable for the supporting applications with respect to the user requirements. There is no escape key and all function keys are now replaced by this touch sensitive strip. There is also a fingerprint scanner at the right end of the strip so that you can use the TouchID to unlock your mac or for making online payments.

The MacBook Pro 2016 with traditional function keys starts at $1499, the TouchBar variants starts at $1799 and goes up to $4,799. It is also reported that Apple will decrease the Prices for the traditional 13-inch variant because of its performance issues.

Don’t expect the new MacBook Pro lineup until the fall of 2017. It is expected that Apple’s 12-inch MacBook will be the first one to get the Kaby Lake upgrade in Q2, 2017.
