Sixa Rivvr: The wireless kit for all VR headsets is now available to pre-order

If you have been following the CES coverage, one thing is clear that 2017 is going to be the year of Virtual Reality. The common problem with every VR headset (expect mobile) available today is the cables. VR is supposed to provide a tethered free experience. Nobody wants to trip over their own cables while playing the VR games. Sixa Rivvr is trying to solve this problem by providing a wireless kit for all VR headsets available out there.

Rivvr uses 2.4GHz or 5GHz Wi-Fi connections to communicate with your system. It runs up to six hours on a single charge. The company claims it has ‘Imperceptible’ latency. Which means, theoretically you can wirelessly play any VR title available today with minimum lag. Check out the official demonstration below,

Unlike TPCast’s which is only an HTC Vive exclusive, Rivvr is compatible with almost all VR headsets available today. The setup is also very straight forward, Plug the device into the back of your VR headset and you are done.

Sixa Rivvr is currently available to pre-order at $60 down payment. The retail unit will cost you around $200, it will come with 3 hours of battery backup which can be upgraded to 6 hours via a $50 add-on.

Stay tuned for the updates.
