Last year Instagram added the live video feature to their applications, and since then thousands of people are using it regularly. Previously, it wasn’t possible to save your video once you are done broadcasting it. Instagram’s latest update will solve this problem by letting you save your live videos.
The company announced this news on their official blog saying, “Starting today, you’ll have the option to save your live video to your phone at the end of a broadcast. While live videos will continue to disappear from the app when you’re done, this update gives you the flexibility to hold onto your video and re-watch it later.”
Once the app is updated to the latest version, you will see the save icon appearing on the upper right corner after ending your broadcast. All you have to do now is click on the Save icon and tap Done. Your live video will be saved to your camera roll but will no longer be available in the app. It will only save the video file not the comments, likes or number of view counts.
Tap to Save
The updates are now live and available as part of Instagram version 10.12 available for iOS in the Apple App Store and for Android in Google Play.
Stay tuned for the updates.
