The latest update to Oculus Gear VR platform now lets the users stream their VR gaming sessions directly to Facebook. Once updated to the latest firmware, Oculus Gear VR users will notice “Livestream to Facebook” option added the Universal Menu. The process is very simple, Just select the “Livestream to Facebook” button from the Universal Menu when you’re in VR, and you’ll instantly start live streaming to your friends on Facebook.
By no means, Oculus is planning to go after niche communities like Twitch and YouTube Gaming, but it is good to see the company providing such simple options. Oculus said, “We want to make it easy to share memorable virtual moments with your friends and family on Facebook. Today, we’re beginning to roll out Facebook Live streaming—direct from Gear VR.”

The update is currently rolling out to people with a Gear outside the US, but Oculus promised it is coming soon to everyone with the latest version of Android on their Samsung phone in the coming weeks.
Stay tuned for the updates.
