Razer has upgraded its 17-inch Blade Pro with a quad-core Kaby Lake processor, faster memory (2667MHz), and THX certification for both the display and the audio jack. The new Blade Pro also got a slight price bump and now starts at $3,999, compared to $3,699 price of the previous model.
The new quad-core Kaby Lake processor is overclockable, according to Razer the overclocking and faster RAM should not affect the thermal performance of the new Blade Pro. The rest of the hardware stays the same although, it could have been better to have a 1080 Ti option.
The display panel and audio jack are now designed to match the THX standards. THX is also testing the actual production models to make sure that every product will ship with the equal quality. If you are interested then you can read more about the THX certification criteria here.
The new 17-inch Razer Blade Pro is the world’s first THX Certified Mobile Device, it features a mechanical keyboard, 4K G-Sync touchscreen panel, Kaby Lake processor, faster memory (2667MHz), and GeForce 1080. It will be available sometime in April starting at $3,999 price tag.
Stay tuned for the updates.
