Next iPhones may come with the True Tone displays

Apple

According to the investment bank Barclays, Apple is planning to bring the True Tone display technology into their upcoming iPhones. Barclays reported all three iPhones (iPhone 7S, 7S Plus, and the iPhone 8) will come with the True Tone displays.

True Tone display is currently available only on the 9.7-inch iPad Pro model. This display technology uses advanced four-channel ambient light sensors to automatically adapt the color and intensity of the display to match your surroundings. It will automatically adjust the color temperature of the display which will be easier on the eyes.

Currently, iPhones use the Night Shift feature to reduce the strain on your eyes. Unlike the True Tone display, Night Shift is designed to reduce the amount of blue light emitted by the display.

Smartphones have become a huge part of our lives and we spent most time of our day looking at these tiny screens.  Let’s hope Apple will somehow manage to cramp this technology into the smaller iPhone screens.

Stay tuned for the update.
