When the Nintendo Switch was launched, it was lacking some basic entertainment tools including a web browser and video streaming services. There was no support for YouTube, Netflix, or any other video streaming services. If you belong from Japan or have a Japanese Nintendo Switch account then we have a good news for you. Japanese consumers are getting the first ever video streaming app for Nintendo Switch.
The NicoNico is a video streaming platform similar to YouTube. The app will launch later this week exclusively on the Japanese Nintendo Switch eShop. Which means if you have a Japanese account running on your Switch then you can also download this application.
There is no news about when it will be getting the support for other popular video streaming services like YouTube, Netflix, Hulu, or Amazon Prime Video. Hopefully, we will soon get these companion apps along with a web browser.
Stay tuned for the updates.
