Back in the May 2017, Acer revealed a new budget gaming laptop series. The new Acer Predator Helios 300 gaming notebook line that comes in 15.6-inch or 17.3-inch display variants.
The Helios 300 variant with the Nvidia GTX 1060 and 15.6-inch Full HD display is currently available under $1050. Making it one of the cheapest laptop available in the market with a GTX 1060. Check out the specification below,

The direct competitor to the Acer’s Predator Helios 300 is the Lenovo Y720. The Y720 with the GTX 1060, Full HD display, and a USB Type-C thunderbolt port is currently available around $1200 to $1300. But Amazon has usually put these laptops on the sale and sometimes you can get the Y720 around a $1000.
At the end it is up to your choice the Helios 300 is available right now under $1050 but you have to wait for a good deal if you want the Y720 at the same price.
