Last Friday the second season of The Duffer Brothers’ hit Sci-Fi show ‘Stranger Things’ aired on Netflix. And according to a recent survey, it has already been a huge hit.
According to a recent Netflix viewership survey taken by Nielsen, the second season of Stranger Things has been watched almost 16 million times within just three days of its launch. The report also claims all the nine-episode have been watched by 4 million viewers each. Nielsen says 361,000 people have watched all nine episodes on the first day making it one of the most successful Netflix show till date.
Netflix says it has more than 52 million active users in the US, which means almost 30 percent of the subscribers have already seen the recent season of Stranger Things. Of course, these numbers are not 100% accurate as Netflix never publishes the actual view counts of its content. Nielsen uses surveys and some of their other trusted algorithms to track the TV viewership.
The second season of Stranger Things takes place after a year since Will’s strange disappearance. Everything in the Hawkins seems to be normal now, but that’s just the calm before the storm. The resident of Hawkins being unaware of the fact that everything is about turn upside down.
