According to KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple is all set to launch an affordable 13inch MacBook Air in Q2 of 2018. The MacBook Air hasn’t received any significant hardware change over the years now. The current version still uses the standard USB ports, dated processors and a 1440 x 900 non-Retina display.
Surprisingly the MacBook Air is still a go-to choice for many college students who want a decent reliable portable computer. It’s about time Apple revamps their most popular MacBook.
According to the reports, The new 13inch MacBook Air will be priced around $900, making it cheaper than the current generation MacBook Air. Specification wise, it will reportedly feature USB Type-C charging, slightly better display, low power Kaby Lake-Y processor, 8 GB of RAM and a better battery. Overall a decent thin and light reliable productivity focused ultrabook.
The new MacBook Air will be launched in the second quarter of 2018 alongside the other updated Apple products.
Stay tuned for the updates.
